THE MASSAGE TECHNIQUES
The massage techniques we use during an Intuitive Bodywork session are the main warm-up application learned throughout the 3-day introduction of Whole Body Massage, which is a modified version of Swedish Effleurage, followed by the deeper and more specific technique unique to this modality called the Active Passive Technique. which is a method that combines the physical with the non-physical. The Active Passive Technique is applied with the use of the elbow on specific areas through a line of tension.
CONSCIOUS BREATHING
The modality places a lot of focus on conscious breathing to help the practitioner and the receiver of the treatment connect with themselves, and each other on a deeper level. It reduces tension and resistance and helps the individuals to connect with their souls. During the sessions, the breath, when applied consciously is also used to direct the mind to a positive state and is combined with the use of affirmations.
Chakra Balancing
Understanding the language of the chakras and how they are expressed in the body is an integral part of the modality. The 7 major chakras are used as a reference throughout the treatments for how a person experiences their life and the state of their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. Through physical palpation and observation, the practitioner is able to understand the areas that need to be addressed in the person in order to assist them to rebalance their chakras.
Guided MEDITATIONS
Guided Visualisations of the main energy centers of the body are part of the practice that assists people to connect with their energy body and chakras to clear energy and align themselves with the divine principles of life.
