Practitioner LEVEL
250-HR PROFESSIONAL TRAININGLEVEL 2 – COURSE CONTENT
MODULE: Musculoskeletal System
This course places a significant focus on the comprehensive understanding of the musculoskeletal system, and most commonly addressed conditions within the scope of therapeutic massage.
Students will learn to identify the locations and names of superficial muscles, as well as their functions and related physical injuries or conditions. Such knowledge is vital for applying effective bodywork techniques that can address any presenting issues with confidence.
The development of advanced palpation skills will be emphasised, enabling students to detect blockages and uncover the root causes of tension. Our curriculum promotes an integrative approach, providing insights into the complex structure and mechanics of the physical body and its role as a vehicle of expression.
MODULE: BODYWORK TECHNIQUES
Students will be introduced to a balanced approach to bodywork, with several methods of practice that are considered unique within the wider scope of massage therapy practices.
The massage techniques that are used involve a fusion of some traditional massage practices derived from Swedish and Remedial Massage, with the inclusion of body movements that are more closely related to Eastern Practices such as Yoga and Thai chi which promote deep flow and strength in a cohesive way.
Students can expect to develop a strong sense of balance between the feminine and masculine aspects of self as part of learning some of the core features of the advanced methods, such as the ‘Active Passive Technique‘ and ‘ The Connection‘ which give the practice its unique approach with the aim to re-align the body, release physical tension and blocked energy, and harmonise the mind and body.
MODULE: The Chakra System
This module focuses on the seven major chakras which are essential to the positioning and function of our anatomical structures.
The course will emphasise on the exploration of their influence and how to intuitively address physical issues through a comprehensive understanding of the information they hold, as each chakra contains the knowledge of mental processes and human conditioning, as well as a higher intelligence that fosters balance within each of these centers.
MODULE: INTUITIVE PRACTICES
The module of intuitive practices aims to help practitioners develop their innate intuitive abilities so they can ‘feel’ and receive information about the emotions, beliefs, and experiences that are expressed by the physical body and effecting the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system in particular.
Several exercises will be experienced throughout the course to enhance this ability and allow the tool to emerge as a critical part of attaining results in the practice.
The attainment of this ability will be utilised respectfully to navigate the release of muscular tension and the opening of segments of the body which are bound by the influences of the mind and emotions.
MODULE: Personal development
While students are developing their skills in massage and learning about the musculoskeletal system, a lot of attention will be given to personal development.
A detailed comprehension of the chakra system will be providing a baseline and road map for the students personal growth as an essential part of becoming a skilled and responsible well adapted practitioner.
